Someone Cares is run by a management team who include:

Anna Hughes, Chairperson
Anna is a Newcastle trained Counsellor and has a particular interest in women's health issues and the impact abuse has upon families. Anna has worked closely with individuals and organisations involved in this area of care, particularly over the past 5 years.
Anna began her career working with learners with profound disabilities and has worked in primary schools, secondary schools and now Further Education at Newcastle College.
Anna trained as a Counselling Supervisor in Newcastle, offering her skills to other members of Someone Cares.
Anna enjoys walking, films, books and has a particular interest in local history.
Susan Beeton, Vice-Char
Susan Beeton, is a Newcastle trained Integrated Counsellor, who has a particular interest in the effects that abuse has upon vulnerable young children and adolescents, Susan continues to work with many young people with learning difficulties.
Susan is a Newcastle trained Supervisor of Counsellor and she shares these skills with other members of the team.
Susan is a caring person who has a passion for learning, teaching, socialising and travel.
Joe Cullen, Treasurer
Joe is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and is interested in the links between abuse and mental distress. Joe trained initially in the Open university obtaining a B.A. in Social Science, which is still one of his interests. Joe did his Counselling training at Durham university and has an M.A. Joe did his Counselling Supervision Certificate at Newcastle University and is also a B.A.C.P. Accredited Counsellor.
Joe's other interests involve, Art History, Reading, Films, Good Food and Wine.
Teresa Dorritt, Secretary
Teresa Dorritt, is a trained Integrative Counsellor, who has worked hard to promote understanding of the difficulties that abuse brings to individuals, but, her main interest is founded in the issues about domestic violence she has helped us maintain our focus on the needs of the organisation and our clients.
Teresa trained as a Counselling Supervisor in Newcastle and has experience of working with people who have suffered trauma through war, particularly in Bosnia.
Teresa other interests involve: flying model planes, films, travel and good food
